About us
Until recently, the only vegan sausage products available on the German market contained wheat gluten and/or soya. What’s more, their appearance (look), feel (touch), cut and taste were far away from the meat products we are familiar with.
As there was no adequate vegan allergen-free alternative on the market, we teamed up with two leading companies in the spice and technology sector for food processing and spent more than two years developing vegan allergen-free products that contain no wheat gluten or soya and are almost identical to ‘real’ sausages in terms of look, touch and taste. These include, for example, German currywurst, grilled sausage, large and small Viennese sausage, chicken nuggets, mortadella and texturates for vegan allergen-free gyros and meatballs.

Our two specialists Dr. Thomas Schmidt, the world’s leading food expert, and Cornelius Maria Gatzemeier (graduate engineer in food technology and spice sommelier), responsible for strategic product development and specialist for spices and colors at HELA, have supported us in the development.
